Aerial Drone Scanning
At Ardent, we enjoy technology… a lot. Perhaps we still haven’t grown up, but we love getting new toys and bringing you the very best cutting-edge technology in architecture. So with that said, the newest addition to the Ardent arsenal is the Mavic 2 Pro Drone.
Our drone allows use to take aerial photos of your entire site and surrounds, and providing photogrammetry so that we can the measure everything the drone has passed over. Coupled with our BLK360 point cloud scanner, we can now record all aspect of a site digitally.
Once this data is safely back on our servers, we then use this to produce accurate drawings of the existing conditions of your project. No more tape measures, or climbing all over the roof and scribbling on notepads. The best bit is that we don’t miss any measurements. We can review the survey at any time thereafter.
Advantages
High resolution - Hasselblad 20 megapixel camera (5472×3648 still image resolution & 4K video resolution)
Portable - We can take it with us anywhere
Measurable - Need to measure the length of your oval? We can do that
Point Cloud - Provides a 3D file that can be viewed and analysed. We can also insert this into our CAD software.
